Yuki Tsunoda grateful after signing 2022 deal with AlphaTauri

AlphaTauri announced that they will retain Yuki Tsunoda for the 2022 season as the Japanesestar signs deal with F1 team

AlphaTauri recently announced that they are going to retain their driver line up for the upcoming 2022 F1 season.

Both Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda were retained for the 2022 season by AlphaTauri. Tsunoda was very grateful for the team’s decision and took to twitter to share how he felt hearing the news.

This is what Yuki had to say:

“2022 Conifrmed, I am grateful for the team and the people who support me. This summer I moved to Faenza, where the team’s factory is located, various environments are in place. So I am looking forward to the future. First of all this weekend’s Monza and I want to race at Suzuka next year”

The young Japanese driver looks to be very happy and excited fot the upcoming season.

Yuki Tsunoda’s 2021 season

Yuki made his debut in F1 in 2021 with AlphaTauri at only 20 years of age, As he is backed by the Honda dream project. It focuses on the development of the young and upcoming drivers. He has shown impressive speed this season in his debut season in F1.

Yuki has won the F4 Japanese Championship in 2018 which proved to be his breakout year. In his debut season at AlphaTauri, Tsunoda has managed to earn 18 points in 12 races that he has taken part in as he currently stands at 13th position in the Racer’s championship standings.

As he is only 21 years old Tsunoda looks to be a promising youngster and he will look to finish the 2021 season at a high, So we can expect significant improvements from him in the upcoming 2022 season.
