Charles Leclerc was nine years old at the time and was taking part in the French Kart Cup, his second international event in his very young career. He was one of the lucky children who had the great opportunity of receiving an autograph from the seven-time Formula One world champion.

Charles Leclerc has always admitted that his biggest dream was racing for Ferrari, a dream that became true starting with the 2019 Formula 1 season, his second year in F1, when the Maranello team, impressed by his performances for Alfa Romeo, gave him the opportunity of driving one of the cars built by the Italian side, after the Monegasque driver developed in the Ferrari Driver Academy under the watchful eye of Massimo Rivola.
