“I have some incredible memories of Brazil” – Sebastian Vettel looks forward to racing at “iconic” Interlagos Circuit for one last time

Four-time World champion Sebastian Vettel will retire from F1 at the end of this season as he plans to have one last laugh at Interlagos

Sebastian Vettel is set to participate in the last Brazilian GP of his F1 career and he is totally looking forward to it. Vettel absolutely loves Brazil and is one of the most successful drivers at this GP, having won it three times before. The four-time World Champion will certainly aim to make his last race at the Interlagos, a memorable one, once he gets inside his Aston Martin this weekend.

Vettel appears to be nostalgic ahead of this weekend’s race. In an emotional statement, he said: “I’ve had some incredible memories of Brazil, including winning the world championship back in 2012. It will be amazing to race around this iconic venue for one last time.” Vettel along with Lewis Hamilton are the joint-most successful drivers at this circuit, when it comes to the current grid. Both have won this GP thrice. Vettel has won the Brazilian GP in 2010, 2013 and 2017.

Sebastian Vettel is heading towards the last two races of his F1 career. He has earlier announced that he will retire from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season. The 35-year-old German, who spent six seasons with Ferrari after joining the Italian team in 2015, will see out the remainder of his final campaign with Aston Martin. Vettel is currently third on the list of all-time Grand Prix winners with 53 victories, trailing only Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher.

“The decision to retire has been a difficult one for me to take, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about it,” said Vettel, who confirmed his retirement mid-way through the season in a video posted on Instagram.After making his debut in 2007, Vettel has achieved remarkable feats in F1 and has certainly established himself as an all time legend of the sport.
