Is pop sensation Britney Spears pregnant in 2023?
Britney Spears, often referred to as the “Princess of Pop”, is credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s and early 2000s. After appearing in stage productions and television series, Spears signed with Jive Records in 1997 at the tender age of fifteen.
Spears has also been no stranger to controversy in her career in the spotlight – and even publicly suffered from depression over the past few years. However, she continues to be one of the most searched about artists in the world – and people often ask if she is currently pregnant. As it turns out, yes, Spears is pregnant at the moment.
Already having two children named Sean and Jayden with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Spears announced her pregnancy last year after she suffered from a miscarriage only months prior. Spears took to Instagram in May last year to share the exciting news that she is expecting a baby with her partner, Sam Asghari.
Alongside a photo of a pink tea cup and flowers, Spears explained the situation to her fans, saying it all started when she lost weight for her trip to Maui with Asghari, only to gain in back quickly. Asghari, whom Spears referred to as her husband in the post, suggested she was “food pregnant,” which prompted the singer to take a pregnancy test.
What did Spears have to say about being pregnant?
The pop star revealed her pregnancy and how it will be different than the previous two.
“I am having a baby,” Spears revealed, saying the baby is “growing” and she’s nervous she could be pregnant with twins. Spears went on to say that the circumstances mean she won’t be leaving the house as much in the coming months so the paparazzi can’t make money on photos of her.
Spears also shared how this pregnancy would be different than her previous two. “It’s hard because when I was pregnant I had pre-natal depression,” she said, calling it “absolutely horrible” and saying that she wasn’t able to talk about the situation at the time. “Now women talk about it everyday,” she wrote. “Thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret.”
