Blindspotting Season 2 Plot

The second season of Blindspotting begins with Ashley and the rest of her crew living in Oakland, California. Ashley is attempting, with varying degrees of success, to adjust to her “new normal,” which consists of raising her son Sean by herself while her partner of 12 years and now husband Miles is incarcerated at San Quentin. The following is Starz’s official description of the show:

“The events of season 2 begin nine months after Ashley and Miles were married in jail in the season 1 finale. At this point, Ashley is flipping her lid over her efforts to bring up Sean on her own. She is about to snap and is taking it out on everyone around her in an effort to keep herself from doing so. Miles is acclimating himself to life behind bars while also counting down the days before their first weekend of family visiting at San Quentin. As Rainey is doing all she can to make Ashley and Sean feel at ease, she is also looking for a means to maintain contact with her son who is in incarcerated. Yet, Ashley currently holds all of the aces in this hand.”

“The new company that Trish started is doing well, but she is having trouble containing her feelings of envy since her closest friend and business colleague Jacque started dating Cuddie. Janelle is beginning to miss her life in Bali and is finding that she is becoming more irritated by Ashley’s unending need for help. And of course, Earl, who has just been released from jail himself after serving time for unwittingly violating the terms of his probation, has moved out of Nancy’s home and is attempting to rebuild relationships with his own family and the people from his past. You have successfully returned to the ordeal,” it continued.
