He said that he was surrounded by friends and family during his last moments. Steve was in hospice care, and his manager had made a statement stating that he would not be here for too long. Steve had heavy drinking problems, and his alcohol consumption caused him a lot of health issues.

In 2013, Steve was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that causes abnormal thickening of the heart muscles and makes it hard to function.

Later on, he was diagnosed with Wernicke’s encephalopathy, which is a neurological condition that causes slurring in speech and affects the memory of an individual, and he has also endured heart failure symptoms.
