Dawn Marie Career
Marie started her journey of wrestling valet with the help of Jonathan Gold, a talent agent, and professional wrestling promoter. Gold made her appear in a wrestling show in New Jersey.
She made her debut in professional wrestling as a valet in January 1995. Marie spent four years on some of the independent circuits like Maryland Championship Wrestling and Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation.
Dawn was brought into Extreme Championship Wrestling by Buh Buh Ray Dudley, where Paul Heyman, the promoter of ECW, gave her the job of managing Lance Storm. Marie made her debut in ECW on August 28, 1998, as the manager of Storm.
Postal was also offered a contract from WCW, but she declined the offer to stay with her fiance, ECE wrestler Simon Diamond. So instead, she became a color commentator for ECE pay-per-views.
After ECE became bankrupt in 2001, she returned to the independent wrestling circuit and managed Diamond. The duo also made an appearance on X-Wrestling Federation.
Dawn made her WWE television debut in April 2002 at a SmackDown episode as the legal assistant of Vince McMahon under the name of “Dawn Marie.”
Marie is very well known for her long-time feud with Torrie Wilson from 2002 till 2004. She made her wrestling debut with Matt Hardy to defeat Rikishi and Torrie Wilson. She also developed a relationship with Wilson’s real-life father.
Marie got married to Al in 2003 in an episode of SmackDown. Unfortunately, Al died from a heart attack after having rigorous sex numerous times in a unique WWE storyline on their honeymoon.
Marie and Wilson would face each other on two occasions, first at No Mercy, where Wison defeated Pstalis, and then again at the 2003 Royal Rumble in a Stepmother vs. Stepdaughter match where Wilson against got the better of Dawn.
Marie’s last match also came against Wilson in a Divas Match on Smackdown. She made her last in-ring appearance with the company at ECW One Night Stand, where she managed Lance Storm against Chris Jericho. Marie was released by WWE contract in 2005 as she was pregnant.
Marie became a nurse after her wrestling career. She also took an acting class intending to become an actress. Her WWE contract was wrongfully terminated as a result of her pregnancy she even filed a complaint against WWE.
