Rangers vs Kilmarnock Predictions: Rangers Line-up

Rangers will look to bounce back from the midweek disappointment when they host Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership.

The Gers were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Aberdeen, with Steven Gerrard’s side losing the replay 2-0 at home on Tuesday. Gerrard will now expect a reaction from his boys as the Ibrox-based outfit look to trim the difference between them and league leaders Celtic to five points.

Rangers’ opponents on Saturday are Kilmarnock, who sit fourth in the table and will look to mount more misery on Gerrard.

Team News

Gareth McAuley is very likely to miss the game with a hamstring injury, while Eroz Grezda will be out for few weeks.

Probable Rangers XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Steven Gerrard

Allan McGregor (GK)

The veteran is the Gers’ first-choice keeper and will be in goal against Kilmarnock as well.

James Tavernier (RB)

Tavernier will need to take responsibility and step up after Rangers’ Scottish Cup elimination on Tuesday.

James Tavernier

Connor Goldson (CB)

Goldson has been one of the consistent players at the back for the Gers. He is a certain starter against Killie.

Joe Worrall (CB)

Worrall has developed a formidable partnership with Goldson in central defence. Gerrard won’t disturb the centre-back pairing at any cost.

Borna Barisic (LB)

Barisic started the midweek Cup game and will keep his place in the league fixture on Saturday as well.

Ryan Jack

Ryan Jack (CDM)

Jack protects the back four well, brings stability to the midfield and dictates the tempo of the game with his passing range. He is a definite starter at Ibrox at the weekend.

Daniel Candeias (RW)

Candeias had a poor game in midweek according to his standards. He will be raring to put in a solid display and help the Gers beat Kilmarnock.

Glen Kamara (RCM)

Kamara has excelled since joining Rangers in January on deadline day from Dundee but had a shocker in the cup defeat to Aberdeen. He will look to make amends on Saturday.

Scott Arfield (LCM)

Arfield was subdued in the game against Aberdeen. Gerrard would be hoping for more from him at the weekend.

Ryan Kent 1

Ryan Kent (LW)

Kent has had a really good season with Rangers and is a regular starter on the left wing.

Alfredo Morelos (ST)

Morelos endured a tough night against Aberdeen on Tuesday. The stocky Colombian will aim to improve and get on the score-sheet at the weekend’s fixture.
