Hill’s father passed away unfortunately in an air crash on 29 November 1975. The incident fueled more motivation in Hill to achieve the dream of his father. Graham Hill won the title in 1962 and 1968.
His father is the only driver ever to win the Triple Crown of Motorsport – winning the Indianapolis 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship.
Damon Hill Net Worth and Salary
When he won the title at Williams, his salary was quoted at £6m, but took a paycut when he signed for the Arrows. His contract with Jordan was significantly lesser at £5m, but he made a lot of wealth in his career from 1992 to 1999.
Hill signed deals with American bank MBNA, Cellnet, Harrods and Italian watch company Lucien Rochat. He now works as the part of the Sky Sports F1 broadcasting team.

Hill became a test driver for the title winning Williams team in 1992, which was his first entry into Formula 1. He went from strength to strength winning 22 races out of 106 in his career. In 1993, at the age of 33 , Damon won three F1 races and finished third overall.
In 1996, by winning eight of the 16 races he won his first World Championship and became the first-son duo to win the World Championship.
With a lot of controversy surround Hill and his teammate Jacques Villeneuve, he was removed from the team and replaced by Heinz-Harald Frentzen. He endured a disappointing season in 1997 at Arrows, then moved to Jordan, where he secured the team’s maiden Formula One victory in the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix. He eventually retired in 1999.

Hill is married to Susan George and they have four children together. The names of their kids are Oliver Joshua, Tabitha and Rosie.
