While everyone was quick to jump on the incident and layout their thoughts, Jake Paul saw an immense cash-grabbing opportunity. He laid out a proposal for Smith and Rock to fight it out on his undercard in August.

He said, “I got $15m for Will Smith and $15m for Chris Rock ready to go. Let’s do it in August on my undercard”

To clarify that he meant serious business, Paul posted another tweet this time directed towards Will Smith’s representatives. He said, ‘ Someone get me on the phone with Will Smiths boxing representative asap’

Dana White reacts to Will Smith punching Chris Rock at the Oscars

Chris Rock appeared on stage to present the Oscar for documentary feature and made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being in “G.I. Jane” because of her shaved head. Pinkett Smith announced last year she shaved her head after struggling with alopecia.

Smith then took the stage to punch Rock. Although it appeared to be a joke at first, Smith returned to his seat and yelled at Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fuc..ng mouth!”

UFC president Dana White was amongst the first to react to this viral moment. Several people have criticized the Oscars in the past for showing favoritism and being too predictable. However this moment grabbed everyone’s attention.

White tweeted by saying,

‘FINALLY!!!!! there’s an #Oscars show worth watching. AND
@chrisrock
has a chin’
