Rajeev Ram & Joe Salisbury

The experienced duo has produced some fine results this season. They won their first title in the Monte-Carlo Masters. In the Western & Southern Open, Salisbury and Ram won their second title of the season. Their biggest triumph came at the US Open when they defeated Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in straight sets in the final.

At the recently-concluded Paris Masters, Salisbury and Ram were ousted in the quarterfinals by the team of Austin Krajicek and Ivan Dodig. Last year’s runner-up team in Turin began their campaign this year in the competition against Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. Salisbury and Ram defeated the Spanish-Argentine duo in three sets 6-3, 6-7 (8-10), 10-8.

Lloyd Glasspool & Harri Heliovaara

Glasspool and Heliovaara have reached as many as 7 finals this season. However, they have come out victorious in one final in the German Open by defeating Rohan Bopanna and Matwe Middelkoop.

Seeded sixth in the ATP Finals, they began their campaign against third-seeded Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcelo Arevalo in straight sets 7-5, 7-6 (7-3). It was certainly a solid debut for Glasspool and Heliovaara but there is no room for complacency.

Prediction

These two teams locked horns in the quarterfinals of the Queen’s Club Championships earlier in the year. Glasspool and Heliovaara got the better of the experienced duo in straight sets 7-6 (10-8), 6-2.

Prediction: Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury to win in three sets.
