The 29-year-old also scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists in 9 Champions League appearances. In fact, he played a vital role in their win over Manchester United.
A move for Banega makes sense now that Jack Wilshere has announced his departure from the Emirates this summer. Thus, Emery will need new faces in the midfield, and Banega could be the solution.
