MVP declared himself as the new United States Champion after Apollo Crews couldn’t face him at Extreme Rules
Apollo Crews and MVP clash on Monday Night Raw to decide who is the United States Champion.
Crews was the current champion coming into Extreme Rules and was to face MVP at the PPV. However, the champion didn’t pass a fitness test and MVP declared himself to be the new champion.
There were rumours that Crews was Covid-19 positive and he was out of action for a while. WWE didn’t highlight what the fitness-related issue was for Crews but MVP continued calling himself the champion.
MVP also started his own faction, the Hurt Business, with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin by his side.
However, Crews had a short and simple message for MVP and he claimed he would show who the real US Champion is:
Time to show em who the real #UnitedStatesChampion is. https://t.co/gLrXs5tfhX

Gold for the Business?
MVP also brought out a new design for the US title as he started his reign, but this faction has picked up a title in its short time together.
Benjamin defeated R-Truth to become the new 24/7 champion. He also promised to take the title to new heights and not make it a joke.
It will be interesting to see how this MVP and Crews battle goes on Monday. MVP will have Lashley and Benjamin by his side, however, Crews could see the likes of Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander and Ricochet support him.
MVP is one of the best things on Raw and making him the champion on Monday could lead to more incredible moments.
It would also continue the rivalry between Crews and MVP, and that has been a good watch so far too.
