High School Career
The 2021 Slam dunk contest winner became the first American to enter directly into the NBA Draft after just graduating from high school. Initially, he was rated as a five-star recruit and 247Sports.com ranked him as the 7th best player in the class of 2018.
Anfernee wished to make his way into the University of Louisville but after the news of the Basketball Sex Scandal in 2015 and its hands in the 2017-18 NCAA Division I men’s basketball corruption scandal, he reversed his decision. And then committed to going to a different university.
