Wardlow takes a significant turn as CM Punk defeated MJF at AEW Revolution 2022

This Sunday’s AEW Revolution saw Wardlow turning his back on MJF as he helped CM Punk defeat the latter in a Dog Collar Match which completed his babyface turn.

During the closing stages of one of the most brutal bouts at AEW, MJF asked his now-former bodyguard for his Dynamite Diamond Ring to finish off Punk. But when he arrived at the ringside, Wardlow checked his pockets and reacted as if he could not find the ring in either of his pockets.

Which gave Punk some momentum to capitalize on this and hit a GTS on MJF. After the match, Wadlow pulled MJF away, at which point Wardlow behaved in a convenient memory lapse as he smiled at Punk, left the ring on the mat, and walked away.

AEW Superstar Wardlow had previously helped MJF defeat Punk on the February 2 episode of Dynamite. On that night in Chicago, the big man hands the Dynamite Diamond Ring to MJF to put away Punk.

It was a heavily intensified bout between the two superstars. The match saw blood, sweat, and extreme determination from Punk which showed that he still has it.
