Sting shocked the world with his AEW debut

Further, the NWA Women’s title was also on the line but we start off with a huge fight on the New Year’s Smash results and grades piece.

PAC vs Kingston

PAC wasted no time in targeted Eddie Kingston but Allie provided a distraction that allowed Kingston to take control.

Both men tried to take the other out but it was PAC who got the win thanks to the Black Arrow.

PAC then tried to attack Kingston after the match but Butcher and Blade made the save. Lance Archer joined PAC and Rey Fenix later on as the heels ran off.

PAC beats Kingston

Grade B

This was an incredibly brutal match and this is why both PAC and Kingston are so highly rated on AEW.

Archer still has a role to play in this and it will be interesting to see if he teams up or remains a loner.

Taylor vs Miro

Chuck Taylor had agreed to become Miro’s butler if he lost to the former WWE star.

There was a distraction from Sabian, who attacked Orange Cassidy, and that allowed Miro to take control.

Miro then got the win and stared down Cassidy.

Miro beats Taylor

Grade B

Miro looked brutal in this match and seems to be a force again. It will be interesting to see how he does once he goes up against Cassidy.

Inner Circle make some promises

Chris Jericho led the rest of the Inner Circle out as they shared their New Year’s resolutions for 2021.

The members shared their resolutions for 2021 but problems arose when Jericho wanted to become tag champions with MJF.

Santana and Ortiz were upset and so was Sammy Guevara. There was a lot of tension in the ring before Jericho said a triple threat tag match would decide won the official tag team of the Circle is.

Guevara and Jake Hager vs Santana and Ortiz vs MJF and Jericho was set to take next week.

Grade A

This was an excellent segment as the friction between the Circle members was there for all to see.

Jericho has been enamoured by MJF in recent weeks and he seems to have forgotten about the rest of the team.

The Elite in action

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were brought onto AEW which saw Tony Khan and The Young Bucks become upset.

Kenny Omega teamed up with Gallows and Anderson as they took on Griff Garrison, Danny Limelight and Brian Pillman Jr.

This was an excellent match all around but it was the Elite who got the win in the end.

Moxley didn’t waste time as he made his way to the ring and attacked Omega. Moxley, however, was beaten down before the Lucha Bros made the save.

The locker room then emptied out with the Bucks also making the save. Omega and Don Callis ran off as Anderson and Gallows also ran away.

Omega, Gallows and Anderson win

Grade B

This was still an excellent match despite the madness going around. Moxley making his return was great too and it will be interesting to see how the AEW and Impact relationship builds.

Jurassic Express vs FTR

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR took on Marko Stunt and Jungle Boy. FTR, the former tag team champions took advantage of their size over Stunt. Express tried their best to get the win but it was FTR who got the result in their favour.

FTR beats Jurassic Express

Grade B

Stunt and Jungle Boy gave it their all, especially against the quality of a tag team like FTR.

This was a great match all around, and it put over the Express, despite the pair losing on the night.

NWA Women’s title

Tay Conti got her shot at gold as she battled Serena Deeb for the NWA Women’s title.

Anna Jay of the Dark Order came out to help Conti and this was her first title shot. Deeb was able to deal with a lot of early offence and Conti even kicked out of her rival’s finisher.

However, Deeb was still able to get the win after hitting a second finisher.

Deeb beats Conti

Grade B

Conti looked great, even in a loss, and this was an excellent outing for the former NXT star.

Deeb keeping the belt was always going to happen as this was on AEW, but it will be interesting to see what is next for both stars.

TNT title match

Darby Allin put his TNT title on the line against the larger Brian Cage in the main event of Dynamite.

Cage took control of the match after an early onslaught by the champion. Allin was left bloodied and Cage kept on beating the champion.

A reversal saw Allin take control and hit a coffin drop on his rival. Ricky Starks then tried to distract the champion before Sting came out to make the save.

Allin then delivered a crucifix bomb to get the win and Sting joined him in the ring and the pair stared down team Taz as snow filled the arena.

Allin beats Cage

Grade A

This was an excellent way to end the show as Sting made his way to the ring and helped Allin out.

Allin looked great in the match and him defeating Cage was something huge too. It will be interesting to see what is next for him and Sting, but a clash against Taz and his cohorts is the likely move.
