Cody Rhodes, FTR, Hikaru Shida and Jon Moxley were to defend their gold and we start off this AEW Dynamite results and grades piece with the tag titles on the line.

FTR vs Best Friends

Tully Blanchard was on the side of FTR as Cash Wheeler started off against Taylor.

Blanchard interfered in the match a couple of times and Wheeler used the belt on their rivals as Dax Harwood picked up the win.

Miro then returned with Penelope Ford and destroyed Taylor and Trent for wrecking his arcade.

FTR beat Best Friends

Grade A

FTR keeping the belt was expected and this was a fun match for all parties. The finish was fun too especially with Miro being upset at the collateral damage caused in the match.

Sabian and Miro in action

Lee Johnson and Sean Maluta took on Kip Sabian and Miro next on AEW.

Miro helped his side pick up a quick win and then was upset at the Best Friends for destroying his arcade.

Miro and Sabian beat Maluta and Johnson

Grade C

This match made Miro look unstoppable and that is a good thing. AEW seems to be keeping him busy in the tag division and it will be interesting to see how this match goes.

MJF finds a new home?

MJF and Wardlow made their way to the ring as the heel was to share his big announcement.

He called out Chris Jericho as the rest of the Inner Circle also came out. MJF claimed that he and Jericho are the best in the business but have never battled.

MJF claimed that he was open to joining the Circle with Jericho inviting him for a steak dinner next week.

Grade B

MJF joining the Circle would be something weird but it would also allow AEW Creative to put on something great.

Next week’s dinner should be fun too, and there is a great chance of Sammy Guevara or another Circle member taking MJF out due to their disdain for the heel.

TNT title clash

Cody took on Orange Cassidy with his TNT title on the line just a week or so after reclaiming it from Brodie Lee.

Cody was frustrated by some of the antics of Cassidy, and there were close calls from both stars. However, with time running out, Cassidy was able to roll-up Cody for only the two count and the match ended in a draw.

Grade A

These two put on quite a show and the ending was perfect on all counts. Cody didn’t lose his belt while Cassidy proved he can go on and take on the best in the business.

AEW Women’s title clash

Shida put her title on the line against Big Swole. Swole took advantage of pushing Shida into a cameraman and was close to defeating the Japanese star.

However, it was Shida that got the win despite Swole also getting her finisher in.

Shida beats Swole

Grade B

The match certainly was a decent one but the AEW women can do a lot more. The company hasn’t put out too many female matches in recent weeks but Shida is an excellent champion while Swole also put on quite a show.

AEW title on the line

Lance Archer took on Moxley as Moxley put his title on the line in the main event. Archer was in no mood for games as he took out a crew member before the match.

Jake Roberts also helped Archer out during the match and Moxley was hit with his opponent’s finisher right at the end.

However, Archer couldn’t get the pin as Moxley pulled one over and kept his title.

Eddie Kingston and the Lucha Brothers celebrated with Moxley after the match but then attacked the champion.

Moxley beats Archer

Grade A

This was a crazy match with every second filled with action. Moxley kept the belt again, despite a spirited performance from Archer.

Kingston vs Moxley should be a cracker too and it will be interesting to see what is next for the pair.
