Chris Jericho and Blackpool Combat Club are scheduled to have a face to face confrontation next week, which could set a match. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW will be doing a Blood & Guts match soon. He speculated it might be featuring Jericho Appreciation Society against Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Santana, Eddie Kingston, and Ortiz.

AEW held its first Blood and Guts Match on May 5, 2021, episode of AEW Dynamite as The Pinnacle defeated The Inner Circle once MJF threatened to throw Chris Jericho off the roof of the cage and forced Sammy Guevara to surrender for his team.

AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa recently pitched the idea of a Women’s Blood, and Guts match during an interview with Women’s Wrestling talk

“I will definitely love to do an Iron Woman Match. I know Serena mentioned that last week, and I will second that. It hasn’t been done at AEW. You know, I like to break barriers and be the first one to be part of that. I would love to do one of those. I would like to do a Blood & Guts match. I think that would be so much fun with all the women that we have. We have really good women on our roster. Yeah, we have a lot of fun. I can go crazy. So I like to do that kind of stuff.” (h/t WrestleTalk)

The Tribal Chief has recently signed a new deal with WWE. As a result, it has been speculated that his schedule will be less taxing. However, it is to be noted that Reigns is not advertised for any TV tapings or live events for July and August. The next event in which Reigns is now set to compete is expected to be at the WWE Money in the Bank event. But it is still unknown what this means for the show as it is still unclear what will be happening with Drew McIntyre or how WWE plans on explaining Roman’s absence from WWE TV.

While discussing Roman Reigns’ schedule, Meltzer said that the success of WrestleMania 38 night one helped convince WWE that they don’t necessarily need the top men’s titles to be heavily featured.

WWE also doesn’t feel an urgency to book the champion on PPV events like Hell in a Cell because the Peacock money is guaranteed regardless of the card.
