The WWE, AEW Rumor Roundup for June 18, 2022, includes Sasha Banks release, Laurinaitis future, McMahon vs Dunn and more!

These are the latest Rumor Roundup in pro-wrestling, which are currently afloat. So let’s look at the Rumor Roundup from WWE and AEW.

1. Sasha Banks’s release

Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE RAW on May 16, exactly one month ago. Afterwards, WWE indefinitely suspended both women and even buried them in the air for their unprofessional behaviour.

Yesterday the story heated up when Wrestling Inc Raj Giri said he heard WWE released Sasha Banks. However, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp couldn’t confirm her release with his sources. Likewise, mat Men’s Andrew Zarian couldn’t confirm Sasha’s release. Still, he heard that it was recently being worked on by her legal team.

“I cannot confirm that she’s released, but…I did hear late last week that her attorneys were working on getting this done.”

As per WrestleVotes, Sean Ross Sapp adds that “some pretty important people” n WWE believe she is gone. However, when pressed on the probability of Banks returning to WWE, Zarian said that it won’t be happening.

“No…I don’t see Sasha going back right now.”

2. John Laurinaitis future

As PW Insider said that John Laurinaitis was not backstage at SmackDown. According to Fightful, it is expected that the allegation made against him and Vince McMahon in the Wall Street Journal’s reporting will result in Laurinaitis’s “exit from WWE.”

3. McMahon vs Dunn.

PW Insider has claimed that Vince was in a great mood backstage at SmackDown and was joking despite all the serious money allegations against him. However, Sapp heard reactions from current and former WWE talent ranging from “confused to enraged” over McMahon’s appearance on the show.

Vince voluntarily stepped back as CEO of WWE due to the ongoing investigation into his conduct by the Board of Directors following the report from the Wall Street Journal. However, he will still be linked to work in the creative aspects of the company.

A lot was expected last night when he made an appearance on SmackDown. Still, it seems like it was just a rating grab as he just opened the show to one hell of an ovation from the live audience and made his way to the ring. Still, he didn’t speak about the matter going around. Instead, he said this,

“I’m here to simply remind you about the four words that we just saw in what we like to call, the WWE signature. Those four words are Then, Now, Forever, and the most important one, Together. Welcome to SmackDown!”

He showed up, got a great reaction from the fans and then left.

Now Wrestlenomics Brandon Thruston has heard from many people that Stephanie McMahon and Kevin Dunn do not like each other.

4. Few Roman Reigns appearance

Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer noted that WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is only scheduled to appear on one episode of RAW for the entire summer, which will be July 25 at Madison Square Garden.
