Here are 5 surprise entrants we saw at the Royal Rumble 2022

The first major WWE event of the calendar year just concluded. Royal Rumble 2022 was a hit and it wasn’t devoid of action. The men and the women’s version saw a number of surprise entrants.

Here are 5 surprise entrants at the recently concluded Royal Rumble:

5) Bad Bunny

Having taken a hiatus from WWE due to his 2022 concert tour, the former 24/7 champion returned unexpectedly at the men’s Royal Rumble event.

Coming in at number 27, the Puerto Rican rapper eliminated Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus who had been inside the ring for quite a while. He hung around for more than 7 minutes before being eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

4) Ivory

2018 Hall of Fame inductee who was best known for her stint with the promotion during the early 2000s entered the ring at number 18.

Attired in her trademark Right to Censor outfit, Ivory couldn’t make her return a memorable one as she was eliminated by Rhea Ripley in just 25 seconds.

3) Drew McIntyre

‘The Scottish Psychopath’ returned sooner than expected. After being hit back with a serious neck injury, the former champion was expected to return sometime later in 2022, but his unexpected arrival got the crowd on their feet.

He was entrant number 21 and put on a great show. Surviving for more than 19 minutes, McIntyre went on to eliminate Happy Corbin (revenge exacted) and Madcap Moss before being eliminated by Brock Lesnar.

2) Brock Lesnar

Saving Brock Lesnar until the very end wasn’t a bad idea after all. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ was the last entrant and wreaked havoc no sooner he arrived.

Lesnar went on to eliminate 5 superstars including the likes of Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre before going on to win the Royal Rumble.

1) Ronda Rousey

Nearly three years after stepping inside the ring, ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey made a return to the WWE. The former UFC and WWE women’s champ was the 28th entrant.

No sooner did she arrive than it spelt the doom for her opponents. She eliminated big names – Charlotte Flair, Brie Bella, Nikki A.S.H and Shotzi to signal her grand return.
