Milwaukee Bucks icon Giannis Antetokounmpo recalled the time he spent training with late NBA star Kobe Bryant.

Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo discussed his time working out with Kobe Bryant during the offseason and what he took away from it. In the summer of 2018, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kobe Bryant worked out together. The Greek Freak spoke with Jim Paschke about the exercise. He claimed he entered the exercise with the intention of trying to enhance his play and believed the renowned Bryant may be of assistance.

“I was looking for methods to improve my strategy and individuals who might support me. Kobe Bryant, in my opinion, is one of them”, Giannis remarked. “He advised me to think creatively and be like a kid.”

The Bucks star asked Kobe what he meant, and the latter responded by explaining. “Kids indulge in imagination. They are displaying creativity. When you’re young, learning is your constant desire. You pose inquiries.”

“I admire Kobe Bryant. I need to demonstrate to him that I’m not simply here to hang out and say, I want to work out with you.” Giannis said, “I’m here because I want to get better.”

Bryant allegedly forced Antetokounmpo to take 300–400 shots. He wanted Bryant to know that he was committed to the workout and to improving.

To be clear, Antetokounmpo said, “I’m not here for any PR purposes. Not at all. I’m here to improve. Just like that. I believe he is aware of that. We both took that practice very seriously because of this. He expressed his opinions about the match, myself as a player, and the Bucks in an honest manner.”

The 25-year-old claimed that although not caring whether he wins the MVP, winning games and titles is still important to him. Last season, Milwaukee was defeated in the Eastern Conference semifinals by the Celtics, and the Bucks have since made some significant changes in an effort to retain their top player.

Giannis has frequently been mentioned in trade rumors involving the Lakers and now the Bulls. The two-time MVP in the running asserted cryptically that if LeBron James or Anthony Davis were to join him in Milwaukee, he would welcome them with open arms and would not care if he was the star player or not when asked if he would be okay in a system where he was not the main player.
