Predicted Liverpool XI to face Newcastle in the Premier League
Liverpool stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 18 games with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wolves on Friday and Jurgen Klopp’s men will once again be the outright favourites to claim all three points when they play host to Newcastle United on Wednesday.
The Reds are currently 4 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table and the onus will be on them to continue their impressive run.
Newcastle were held to a 0-0 draw by Fulham last week and the Magpies will need to produce a miracle of sorts to upset the odds against a rampant Liverpool unit.
Team News
Jurgen Klopp has a few injuries to contend with for the mid-week game. Naby Keita took a knock to his ribs against Wolves and is slightly doubtful to play a part while Trent Alexander Arnold is on his way to recovery from an ankle injury and his selection will be subject to a late fitness test.
Joe Gomes (ankle) and Joel Matip (shoulder) are ruled out while Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is a long-term absentee for the Reds.

1. Alisson (GK)
The Brazilian recovered from his bizarre error against Man United and made some regulation saves last week against Wolves to keep a clean sheet.
2. James Milner (RB)
The veteran did well in his makeshift role as a right-back and might continue there if Alexander Arnold doesn’t make it to the eleven.
3. Dejan Lovren (CB)
The Croatian had a couple of nervy moments last week but put in a reasonably good shift at the heart of the defence.
4. Virgil van Dijk (CB)
The Dutchman will be high on confidence after a solid defensive display and scored his first goal in almost 12months in the previous outing.
5. Andrew Robertson (LB)
The Scotsman has established himself as one of the most reliable left-backs in the Premier League and has been a key component of Liverpool’s backline this season.
6. Fabinho (CDM)
The Brazilian had a fabulous game against Wolves and has been a regular face in the eleven for the last couple of months.
7. Georginio Wijnaldum (CDM)
Henderson did well in the last game but Klopp might rotate his squad to give the Dutchman a go in the mid-week clash.
8. Xherdan Shaqiri (RW)
The Swiss international has been in blistering form in recent weeks and he should be amongst the starters after being rested for the Wolves game.
9. Sadio Mane (LW)
The Senegalese international has always been a lively presence down the flanks and Klopp should continue to rely on him.

The Brazilian has excelled in a playmaking role behind the striker and Klopp should continue to field him there.
