WWE SmackDown results, winners and grades: Becky Lynch opens up on her SummerSlam win
There was a lot to cover on WWE SmackDown after the shocking events of SummerSlam 2021. Edge beat Seth Rollins but the big stories were the returns of Becky Lynch, who won the title from Bianca Belair, and Brock Lesnar confronting champion Roman Reigns.
And, we start off this WWE SmackDown results, winners and grades piece with The Man taking center stage.
The Man is back
Becky Lynch spoke to the audience and sent a warning that she was going to be more dangerous than ever.
The EST of WWE, Bianca Belair, came out and wanted to reclaim her title. However, Zelina Vega, Liv Morgan and Carmella all wanted a shot at the gold too.
The Man walked away from all this as the other women fought with Morgan getting the upper hand.

No. 1 contender’s match
The four women met in a Fatal 4-way match to determine Lynch’s challenger.
After a tough clash it was Belair who got the win in the end thanks to the KOD.

Paul Heyman in trouble
Paul Heyman was locked out of Reigns’ locker room and the Usos claimed that Heyman knew about Lesnar returning but didn’t tell anyone.
Cesaro and Gable met in the next match and Otis caused a DQ to hand the Swiss Superman the win.

Happy Corbin is here
Baron Corbin’s life has changed around it seems and he changed his name to Happy Corbin after winning a lot of money in Las Vegas.
He wanted to buy Big E’s briefcase for $50,000 and then $100,000 but was turned down. Corbin then sent a warning to E.

Tag team action
Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs teamed up to face Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. However, Seth Rollins spoke prior to that and lauded Edge for all that he did and wanted to be more like the Rated-R Superstar.
As for the match, the face pairing of Boogs and Nakamura got the win.

Dominik Mysterio unhappy with father
Naomi was back on SmackDown but Sonya Deville didn’t care for this at all.
The next match was Dominik Mysterio vs Sami Zayn. It was Zayn who got the win but the loss hurt Dominik as didn’t want help from Rey.

Celebration time
The Usos, Reigns and Heyman made their way to the ring to celebrate the win over John Cena at SummerSlam.
However, Finn Balor made his comeback and said he was screwed by Cena and didn’t get his match against Reigns.
He challenged Reigns to a title shot next week before the Street Profits came out to provide some support to Balor.
