WWE SmackDown preview: The first SmackDown of 2020 could highlight some interesting storylines

WWE SmackDown preview: Daniel Bryan picked up a huge win in the previous SmackDown episode as he became the No.1 contender to face The Fiend at Royal Rumble 2020.

Bryan defeated The Miz and Baron Corbin in a triple threat match, and even before he could celebrate, Bray Wyatt addressed his nemesis on the Titantron.

The Fiend and Bryan should have one segment on this week’s SmackDown, and it will be interesting to see what they have to say regarding their rematch coming up soon.

Reigns and Corbin continue to feud?

Roman Reigns cost Corbin a shot at the Fiend after he interrupted the triple threat match. The pair have continued to feud even after Survivor Series, and there could be more on the line ahead of the Rumble.

It is surprising why Reigns isn’t in the title run against The Fiend, but this could be another juicy segment on this week’s show.

Evans wants more revenge?

Lacey Evans has been involved in a huge feud with Sasha Banks, and The Boss targetted the Southern Belle’s daughter a couple of weeks ago.

Evans was less than pleased with that move and was in action against Banks in the previous episode.

Bayley and Dana Brooke were also involved in the clash after a “Moment of Bliss” segment, and the quartet should be back in action on Friday.

Other storylines

Sheamus has been teasing a return for a couple of weeks and we could see the Irishman back in action or at least in the ring.

Carmella beat Mandy Rose last week and she did the same to Sonya Deville before that. Fire and Desire don’t seem to be on the same page, and there could be more problems between the pair.

Braun Strowman was in tag team action with the New Day and seems to be in line for a run at Shinsuke Nakamura’s Intercontinental title.
