WWE SmackDown Preview 24 April 2020: Will new tag champions be crowned?

WWE SmackDown Preview: This WWE SmackDown is set to be special as the company celebrates 25 years of Triple H.

The Game might be on the board now but there is no denying his legacy in the business. H has won almost every title available in the industry.

However, that isn’t all on show with Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman going down memory lane. The new Universal Champion faces Wyatt at Money in the Bank, but he has history as he was formerly a member of the Wyatt Family.

The WWE Women’s Tag titles are also on the line, and that is where we start this week’s SmackDown preview.

New champs incoming?

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were able to get the better of The Kabuki Warriors to win the tag titles.

However, they face a huge test on SmackDown from Dana Brooke and Carmella. Brooke has been on some streak at the moment in singles competition, but will that distract her from picking up the gold?

Big Money in the Bank qualifiers

The SmackDown Women’s roster has some big names but spots are limited at the Money in the Bank women’s match.

Two of the biggest names will go head-to-head for a spot in the PPV. We get to see Sasha Banks face off against Lacey Evans.

Evans cost Banks a match last week that had serious repercussions. Bayley now has to face Tamina and defend her title.

However, who will make it into the MITB match, Evans or Banks?

The other qualifier sees Drew Gulak take on Baron Corbin. Daniel Bryan has already made it to the PPV and it will be interesting to see if the King makes it or Gulak joins his partner.

A walk down memory lane

Last week, Wyatt reminded Strowman of their past by sending him his old goat mask from the Wyatt Family days.

This week, we get to see what ties the two stars together. Money in the Bank sees Strowman defend her title against Wyatt, however, there is a lot of history between the pair.

WWE didn’t get enough marks for Strowman picking up the title from Goldberg, but the right treatment to this story can make it legendary.
