WWE Raw results, winners, grades and reaction: Lana and Lashley were set to be married on this episode but there was a twist in the tale

WWE Raw results, winners, grades and reaction: The final Raw episode of 2019 had its fair share of thrills, chills, spills and questionable decisions by WWE.

The main draw was the Lana-Lashley wedding, but we will get to that a little later.

Kevin Owens started the show as he displayed clips of Seth Rollins and AOP beating down on several stars.

KO blamed Rollins for Rey Mysterio losing his title to Andrade recently, and the Architect came down to the ring with AOP.

Owens didn’t waste time and headed off to beat the trio and got some help from Samoa Joe. Madness ensued as all the men were fighting with security coming out to separate them.

KO got the final word as he hit a senton from the ring to the wrestlers below.

Grade: B

A good start to Raw as alliances have been made. Joe and Owens is a good pairing and if Mysterio is added to the mix, there will be some possible fireworks against AOP and Rollins at Royal Rumble.

Black vs Murphy Round 2

Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy produced a slobber-knocker of a match at TLC, and they were back in action again.

This was another great bout as Murphy got the upper hand early on. Murphy dominated the match after dropping Black to the arena floor, however, the Dutchman fought back impressively.

He hit Murphy with a brainbuster before hitting two Black Masses to pick up the win.

Black beats Murphy

Grade A

Another incredible match between the two. It was a surprise that Black picked up the win but this rivalry should continue for a while.

It will be interesting to see what happens next between them but we need more matches between them.

Another Rowan squash

Same old story with Erick Rowan beating the pulp of a local talent and that angle with his pet is getting old now.

Rowan beats local competitor

Grade E

I criticised this angle in the past and now it’s getting on. There has to be something more to this and hopefully, WWE can do something different after several weeks of the same story.

Flairing it up

Charlotte Flair cut a promo confirming her presence in the Women’s Royal Rumble, but that was expected.

She then put out an open challenge with Natalya answering the call. The former member of the Hart Foundation was excellent in the early going and was extremely aggressive against Charlotte.

Flair then turned things around with the Truth being chased by a few rivals for his 24/7 title.

Natalya had a huge powerbomb to almost pick up the win. Flair and her opponent exchanged near-falls, but it was the Queen who picked up the win thanks to a Figure Eight.

Charlotte beats Natalya

Grade A

This was another quality match between two of the best female wrestlers in the business. Natalya came out as a heel and even taunted the fans a few times in the clash.

The 24/7 angle wasn’t needed in this clash, but it was still a great match in the evening.

The OC vs Street Profits

AJ Styles came out with The OC and they gloated how they had beat the Viking Raiders twice. However, the Street Profits came out and highlighted how they beat the OC on their Raw debut.

A match was setup with Styles getting ejected from the clash. The OC did extremely well to isolate Montez Ford but the star was able to make the tag to his partner.

The OC tried to hit the Magic Killer, however, the Profits hit the Sky High-Frog Splash for the impressive win.

Profits beat OC

Grade B

A typical clash between the Profits and the OC. All four did a great job and it was great seeing Styles not feature in this tie.

It is interesting that the OC have lost to Profits, and with the Vikings still the champions, could we see a triple-threat clash?

McIntyre handicap match

The Scottish Psychopath asked the fans if he should be worried ahead of a handicap match against Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins.

The fans didn’t think so and McIntyre made light work of the former tag champions.

McIntyre beats Ryder and Hawkins

Grade C

McIntyre as a face could work in 2020 and it will be interesting to see if he fights for any of the top belts.

The Scot was barely troubled in the match but spare a thought for Ryder and Hawkins.

Viper strikes again

Randy Orton came out with an injured knee, something he picked up a few days ago.

The Viper claimed that he might be able to make a quick return but was aiming for WrestleMania.

Orton added that injuries happen in wrestling but AJ Styles came out to mock the Viper.

Styles also laid a hand on Orton’s back as the Viper was unable to deliver an RKO due to his injury.

However, Orton hit Styles when the Phenomenal One least expected it and it seems the injury was just a ploy to bring Styles out.

Grade A

Orton was being his best with the bit of acting and hitting Styles with an RKO out of nowhere was excellent.

Styles was also brilliant as a heel on the mic, and this rivalry should continue for a few more weeks.

Vega helps Andrade

Andrade was up against a local talent and was about to hit the Hammerlock DDT on the concrete floor outside.

However, Ricochet came up to make the save and a match against Andrade was setup.

Andrade got the better of the early going and even dropped Ricochet onto the concrete outside. It seemed that the challenger was set for the win after a rolling drop-kick.

Ricochet went to the top rope but Vega distracted him and pushed him. That allowed Andrade to hit the Hammerlock DDT and pick up the win.

Andrade beats Ricochet

Grade B

Another great match on this week’s show. Andrade and Vega look great as a pair and WWE shouldn’t think of splitting them up.

Ricochet was impressive too and only took the loss due to the interference of Vega.

Wedding Chaos

Lana and Lashley came down to the ring with the priest all set to marry them. The crowd took a shot at the pair by chanting Rusev Day, but this was just the start.

The Ravishing Russian’s first husband came out to stop the marriage but was beat down by Lashley.

https://twitter.com/WWEUniverse/status/1211858071024291841?s=20

Lashley’s first wife came out to stop the wedding but she was hit out by Lana. Then we got the return of Liv Morgan who claimed that the love of her life was in the ring.

However, she wasn’t talking about Lashley but Lana. Yes, Lana, that’s the big tease WWE had done with Morgan over the past weeks.

https://twitter.com/WWE/status/1211861756936622081?s=20

More fights between the two women as Lashley looked on in confusion. Rusev then came out from a cake and beat Lashley down.

Lana was left in tears as Rusev and Morgan celebrated.

Grade No Idea

This was utter madness and chaos, which was expected. A wedding can never go down easily in WWE, but why bring in the Morgan angle?

What is WWE trying to do with her, and why on earth would someone agree to this? The whole Morgan return has been diluted by this story but it seems the fans loved It.
