WWE NXT Results and winners: Karrion Kross crosses a line with Samoa Joe as Mandy Rose returns

WWE NXT was back after the Great American Bash and there was a big match on the cards.

Johnny Gargano got his shot at the NXT Championship and Karrion Kross. However, Samoa Joe was going to be the special guest referee in hopes of keeping things lean.

There was another big surprise on WWE NXT but we start this results and grades piece with a match.

Dakota Kai vs Ember Moon

Raquel Gonzalez, the NXT Women’s Champion, was in the corner of Dakota Kai as she took on Ember Moon.

It was Kai who got the win before Xia Li came out and wanted a shot at Gonzalez.

Tyler Rust impresses

Bobby Fish took on Tyler Rust of Diamond Mine next. This was done after LA Knight gave his new butler, Cameron Grimes, a make over.

Rust was able to get the win after a distraction from a Diamond Mine member.

Mandy Rose on NXT

The next match was Sarray vs Gigi Dolin. Mandy Rose made a surprise appearance as she looked at the two stars and it was Sarray who got the win.

Santos Escobar sets up a clash

Dexter Lumis got a shot at Santos Escobar. Escobar’s teammates helped him out against Lumis and the former Cruiserweight champion got the win.

Hit Row then stopped Escobar’s team at the ramp while Indi Hartwell tried to carry Lumis out before Candice LeRae stopped them.

Duke Hudson on the rise

The NXT Breakout Tournament was next with Duke Hudson taking on 205 Live’s Ikemen Jiro.

While both men put on a good showing it was Hudson who got the win.

Aliyah finds her calling

Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro took on the Robert Stone Brand pairing of Jessi Kamea and Aliyah.

Carter and Catanzaro got the win before Aliyah attacked her former boss, Stone, and it was Franky Monet who told Aliyah to walk out on the group.

NXT Championship clash

Bronson Reed challenged Adam Cole before the main event of the evening took place.

Joe did his bit to try and protect Gargano from Kross as the champion wanted to use the steep steps and more.

Kross and Joe argued and that allowed Gargano to take advantage. However, Kross, enraged, destroyed Gargano with multiple finishers.

After the win, he choked out Joe to end the show.
