One of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, Kurt Angle has brought down the curtains on an epic in-ring career.

v pro wrestling career has had innumerable spectacular matches that have been watched and rewatched by fans. His skills inside the squared circle made him an asset for any promotion he worked in.

The Olympic gold medalist had a successful double knee replacement surgery almost a month ago. Now, he has officially confirmed that he won’t be returning to the ring to wrestle again. His last match will be the one he had against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. Angle did well to put Corbin over as the veteran lost in just over six minutes.

The 53-year-old appeared as a guest on The Two Man Power Trip Podcast. He was asked about the possibility of an in-ring return but Angle said he didn’t want to mess up his knees again after surgery.

“Not with the knee replacements. No, I’m not gonna mess these knees up,” Kurt Angle said. “I’m not gonna try, I’m just trying to have a better quality of life. I’m not trying to get back in the ring. I just want to feel better about my body.”
