WWE’s Spanish Commentator Carlos Cabrera was released on February 17, 2022. He had a career with WWE which spanned 29 years. He was also one-half of WWE’s Spanish color commentators.

Over 29 years, he did commentary on various RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and Premium Live events in the Spanish language. Cabera joined the WWF commentary in 1993. Since then, he has worked with several commentators like Ed Trucco, Hugo Savinoch, and Marcelo Rodrigues. Hugo Savinovich on Twitter of Lucha Libre Online confirmed the news of his departure.

As Hugo Savinovich has just reported EXCLUSIVELY for Lucha Libre Online, the legendary announcer in Spanish, Carlos Cabrera, has been fired from WWE after 29 years with the company.

It has been reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is looking for someone younger to take Cabera’s spot on the Spanish announce team.

Carlos had an enormous career in WWE after joining in 1993

Since 1993, he has commented on 28 consecutive WrestleManias. He called WrestleMania X with Ed Trucco and WrestleMania XI to XXVII alongside Hugo Savinovich. After WrestleMania XXVIII, he joined the commentary with Marcelo Rodriguez till WrestleMania XXXVII.

He has also been put on shows called “WWE En Espanol”, which recapped Raw and SmackDown in Spanish. He was also involved in a 2011 segment as a translator with Triple H on SmackDown to induct Mil Mascaras into the Hall of Fame.

Carlos has been honored with many awards for his reporting and radio personality in his career. He started his career at Channel 41 as a staff announcer. He became a host, anchor, and co-host of the same company.
