Vince McMahon barred Randy Orton from riding camel at Crown Jewel

Matt Riddle opened up on his camel ride at Crown Jewel and why Randy Orton wasn’t allowed to do the same

Matt Riddle was speaking to Metro and spoke about his incredible camel ride at the show.

Riddle is known to be a little offbeat when it comes to his character, and his laid back attitude seemed to fit perfectly with him riding a camel.

This took place at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia a month or so back. Riddle, who is one-half of the Raw Tag champions, is the partner of Randy Orton and the pair have hit it off extremely well.

However, Riddle also revealed that Orton was keen on riding an animal at Crown Jewel. The Viper is one of the most serious characters in WWE and Vince McMahon stepped in to stop this ride from happening:

“You know who wasn’t happy about it though, because they didn’t get to ride a camel either? Randy. Randy wanted to ride a camel and Vince wouldn’t him.

“He goes, ‘Randy, that’s not your character, riding a camel.’ He’s like, ‘What does that mean man?! My character doesn’t ride a camel?’”

Riddle then rubbed some salt into the wound by telling Orton that he wasn’t the kind of “dude that rides camels.”

Matt Riddle has no idea who pitched the camel idea

Riddle also spoke about enjoying and embracing the cultures of other regions. However, the Original Bro didn’t know who came up with this idea.

He revealed that on the day of the show he was asked to come early and rehearse riding the camel. Riddle did enjoy it all but it would have been something else to see Orton on the camel. The pair has a tough assignment on their hands now at Survivor Series.

They face the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, The Usos, and it won’t be easy for them to get the better of the other tag champs.
