Tommy Dreamer Dark Side of the Ring comments cause massive backlash
Recent comments from Tommy Dreamer on the Dark Side of the Ring have received a lot of heat. Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm sent out an email stating that Tommy Dreamer had been suspended as per PWInsider.
This comes after Dreamer’s comments on Vice’s Dark Side of the Ring. WWE’s infamous 2002 flight deemed as “Plane Ride from Hell” and the actions of Ric Flair also made it on the show.
Dreamer also appeared on the show and left some distasteful remarks which has caused a massive backlash against him. Dreamer said that he was called Nature boy for a reason and also that he could do whatever he wanted to. He said that Flair was not trying to impose or force sexual stuff to anybody but someone took offence to it.
The President said that the remarks made by Dreamer were out of line with the core values of them as a company.
Nordholm also said that Dreamer was asked to leave the Skyway Studios in Nashville immediately. Impact were preparing to shoot content this weekend there and it was revealed that Dreamer won’t be working the tapings. Dreamer upon returning in 2018 has been working on-air and also backstage with the company.
What is the plane ride from hell?
WWE infamous 2002 flight is called the plane ride from hell. The flight not just faced a lot of turbulence but also saw mid flight fights, Sexually inappropriate actions and much more.
It has been revealed that there was a fight that broke out between Brock Lesnar and Late Curt Henning. Goldust got heavily drunk and Ric Flair started to wander about with nothing but a robe on his body. Later WWE also faced some lawsuits which were cleared by the company.
