Rey Mysterio provides a SummerSlam 2021 prediction on Twitter

WWE SmackDown Superstar Rey Mysterio has delivered his prediction for SummerSlam 2021 ahead of their rematch with The Usos.

Mysterio took to social media to display his confidence ahead of the encounter. His caption read: “We will become once again father & son. Tag Team Champions at #SummerSlam“

The Usos will defend their SmackDown Tag Team Championship against Rey & Dominik Mysterio. The twin brothers won the titles from their challengers at Money in the Bank. Jey and Jim reunited after getting back with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Mysterio and his son, Dominik have been an impressive tag team ever since they moved on from the storyline with Seth Rollins. Dominik has shown an impressive wrestling game, which has made the father-son duo popular.

The duo fought in singles action in recent weeks, with both teams picking up a win ahead of SummerSlam. The Usos have shown the cutting edge they have making them one of the best teams in WWE.

Mysterio sat with  DAZN.com to discuss the title change and the plans before SummerSlam with his son. The tag team will be motivated to get back the title they had won a few weeks back. He was quoted saying: (h/t ProWrestling.Net)

“I’ve never been a political person in this industry, and you can ask anyone. They’ll probably tell you the same. I did not mind one bit. I’m very thankful that we have the opportunity to work with The Usos, and I’m very thankful that my son is learning from them because he is learning. They’ve been around for eight years.”

Dominik has shown his potential inside the ring and will look to soak in all the experience as he grows into a professional WWE wrestler.
