John Cena’s always had huge admiration for Stone Cold Steve Austin. The leader of Cenation has time and again mentioned how he was a WWE fan since childhood. Austin was a stalwart of the company during the late ’90s and Cena carried the legacy forward.

In a video that WWE released on their Youtube channel, Cena and Austin were seen catching up with each other backstage during RAW Reunion in 2019. The 16-time World Champion Cena had a fanboy look on his face when he met Austin and it was precious.

The Rattlesnake came up to Cena and shook his hand asking, “What’s up, everything good?”

An overwhelmed Cena replied, “Very good man,” and Austin conveyed that he was proud of him. Cena was almost blushing as he modestly said, “I s**k man.”

Austin would pat Cena on his shoulders and once again say that he is proud of him before leaving. A startled Cena ended the conversation saying, “Thank you very much. It means a lot.”

Cena would turn to the camera and tell the cameraman that he recorded. He went on to say that Austin saying he is proud of him is pretty cool and made his heart melt.

The video can be seen below:

The former six-time WWF champion has been in the firing line of Kevin Owens, who has belittled both him and his home city. Owens invited Austin to the Kevin Owens Show at WrestleMania 38.

Austin accepted the invitation gleefully and said he is ready for whatever Owens wanted to call it. It can be just an interview, a match, a fight, or a brawl but Austin will come prepared to “open one last can of whoop-***” on the 37-year-old at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Cena is as excited as we are as he put out a tweet when Austin accepted Owens’ invitation saying:

“Never in the history of #StoneColdFriday did I think I’d see this!! Excited for @SteveAustinBSR, excited 4 the @WWEUniverse and I’m excited for #WrestleMania!!!!”
