This news has certainly taken the WWE Universe by storm. McMahon was the Chief Brand Officer of WWE. In her tweet, the 45-year-old mentioned that the temporary time-off that she opted to take is because she wants to focus on her family.

McMahon and Triple H have three daughters: Aurora Rose Levesque, Murphy Claire Levesque, and Vaughn Evelyn Levesque.

The former world champion also mentioned in the tweet that she will look forward to returning to the Stamford-based company that she loves. Fans are happy that McMahon’s leave is not a permanent one and she intends to get back to work in WWE in the future.

She wrote in her tweet:

“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

“Thank you for being someone to look up to….” – Sonya Deville

While speaking to Ryan Satin on the Out of Character Podcast, Deville said: “I’ve gotten a lot of what I do from Stephanie, looking back on the old Stephanie stuff, I think that is Vince’s kind of vision for me, a Stephanie-esque character. When I do get in the ring, it’s like yeah I get in the ring but I get in the ring as an authority figure. I will use my power how I see fit and how I can to my advantage and I’ll enjoy doing it because that’s how Steph does and that’s how Vince did. I’ve taken a lot of notes from both of their past work for sure.”

Now the former Absolution member has reacted to McMahon’s revelation regarding taking a temporary break from WWE. Deville tweeted: “The absolute best. Thank you for being someone to look up to and learn from Steph.”

Interestingly, Sonya Deville and Stephanie McMahon also share their birthdays on September 24.
