Sonya Deville hasn’t wrestled much since her return and she could be coming back to action soon
Sonya Deville had a few tough months after her loss to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam. The former best friends had a fall out and they then fought in a loser leaves WWE match.
That all was part of something bigger as Deville was also the victim of a failed kidnapping attempt. This break for Deville could have been to deal with that and she recently made a return to SmackDown.
Deville isn’t wrestling a lot these days but she is keeping in shape. She has posted some racy pictures in the past and did so again on her Instagram.
This time, it was a bigger hint of her possibly returning to action in WWE. Deville posted a caption saying “Great week of training, SmackDown tomorrow, let’s go”.
She also shared a few videos on her stories where the Pride Fighter was seen working out.
While Deville might want to stay in shape as she is one of the fit stars on the roster, this could be a hint of her planning a return.
Sonya Deville an authority figure
While Deville returning to TV was great for her as she had been away for a while, she has taken up a new role.
She is basically an authority figure on SmackDown and has helped Adam Pearce in some actions. Deville has also been rocking some incredible suits and this is different to the attire she used to wear.
The former MMA star is extremely popular on social media too and is in a business with Rose. The former best friends patched up before Deville’s return to WWE and it will be interesting to see when she returns.
Deville was in the form of her life on the microphone and even in the ring. She put in some of her best matches against Rose and it was a bit of a shame seeing her taking a break.
Deville and Rose could form a tag team again but they are on different brands. Rose is in a team with Dana Brooke and they have tried to win the tag titles in the past.
Deville could do a great job as a singles wrestler and she could be a great threat to the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks.
