Xia Li sported a new look inside the ring on NXT this week
WWE superstar Xia Li has entered the main fray in the women’s division on NXT ever since she turned heel in late October.
Things took a surprising turn on the November 25th episode of WWE NXT when vignettes of both Li and NXT wrestler Boa appeared to go inside a car that took the duo to an unknown location.
The same man that handed a Boa a letter two weeks prior stood outside the building, waiting for them. Ever since then, both Li and Boa have fought under the watchful eyes of a mysterious master, whose identity is yet to be revealed.
There were weekly videos aired by the show of the duo suffering brutally for their failures. This gimmick was finally brought to the arena on this week’s New Year’s Evil edition of NXT.
Boa, Li, and their master all appeared together, and Li represented the alliance inside the ring.
Sonya Deville approves the new look sported by Xia Li
Li took on Katrina Cortez in an enhancement match and sported a new look, which caught the eye of the fans.
Amongst them was SmackDown superstar Sonya Deville, who spotted the similarities between Li’s new look, and her attire in her earlier days in the promotion.
Li is sporting braids and a wrestling attire with almost the same colour pattern as Deville wore in her earlier days.
Deville seems sporting in her comments and just wants to shed light on the fact that the look is inspired by her. As for Li, she secured an impressive win over Cortez and proceeded to bow in front of the mysterious woman.
