WWE Superstar Sheamus wants Liverpool FC star Virgil van Dijk and Adama Traore in WWE
Former WWE Champion Sheamus did an interview with GiveMeSport. They were asked about which Liverpool FC star he would like to be transitioned into WWE, to which he replied, “Virgil van Dijk” and also added the name of “Adama Traore” into the mix for WWE.
Sheamus was quoted saying,
“For a Liverpool player to go into WWE, I’ve said a couple of times it’s van Dijk [Virgil] because he’s got that Tower and Presence. He’s tall and fast. As footballers go, he’s pretty big, and the other guy who is not a Liverpool player would be Traore [Adama] from Wolves. That guy has been jacked out of his mind. He would easily fit in as well. So, as a non-Liverpool player, I would go with Traore, and as a Liverpool player, it will be van Dijk.”
Van Dijk, who is 6’4” towers over most of the other reds. After a long layoff starting from late 2021, the Dutchman has found his form of late.
WWE Superstar Sheamus has revealed in the past about choosing Virgil Van Dijk as a tag team partner
Last year, the Celtic warrior did an interview with SPORF where he was asked which current Liverpool player he would want to team with inside the ring, and his answer was “Virgil Van Dijk.”
Former WWE Champion was quoted saying,
“It would have to be van Dijk.” “I saw Liverpool play Dortmund in Notre Dame [Indiana]. I drove seven hours up the road, two dogs in the car at the time. My missus and I drove up to Notre Dame when they were playing there and watched him [van Dijk].”
“I’ve met him in person – he’s a tall fella. Great for changing lightbulbs, you know what I mean?”
Sheamus is a five-time tag team titleholder in WWE, and all of his title wins came from teaming with Cesaro. The pair held the Raw Tag Team Championship four times and SmackDown Tag Championship once.
