Shayna Baszler weighs in on controversy about UFC fighter Julija Stoliarenko fainting at weigh in

Shayna Baszler has an MMA background and hinted at something wrong after UFC fighter Julija Stoliarenko fainted at her weigh in

One huge talking point that came out from the latest UFC event was fighter Julija Stoliarenko fainting during her weigh in.

The former Invicta champion couldn’t stand up during the weigh in and fainted a couple of times. She was able to weigh and then needed some help from the paramedics to leave before her fight was cancelled.

Many fans were alarmed at this situation and hit out at not only the UFC but the entire process of weight cutting.

This is a dangerous act done by all of the UFC stars and some permanent damage could take place too.

Fortunately, Stoliarenko was fine after this incident and she posted a few updates too.

Stoliarenko: "As everybody knows when you cut weight, you cannot be on this weight for too long, because you're already on the limits of your dehydration and so on. That was an issue why it all happened.”

She added that she feels great now and would have been fine to compete.

Shayna Baszler, who is one of the top female talents in WWE has an MMA background. The former NXT Champion and current Women’s Tag champion fought 26 times in her MMA career.

Baszler has an MMA record of 15 wins and 11 losses. She knows a thing or two about weight cuts and retweeted a staggering fact regarding Stoliarenko fainting.

Fainting in front of the cameras always grabs the attention of many but it seems that fainting during the entire weight cut process is a regular occurrence.

While this was a bit of an eye opener, Baszler has something else on her plate too.

Shayna Baszler has bigger concerns for Fastlane

Baszler is one half of the Women’s Tag champions alongside Nia Jax. However, the pair have had their squabbles in the past.

The pair also defend their titles against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair at Fastlane on Sunday. Baszler too was attacked on SmackDown this week and she wasn’t happy when her partner didn’t come to save her.

Baszler and Jax do have dreams of becoming a singles champion on the main roster. However, they need to be on the same page at Fastlane or they could lose these titles too.
