Kalisto is all set to make his boxing debut after WWE release last month

A few days ago, former WWE superstar Kalisto revealed that he is going to go into boxing and make his debut in the sport pretty soon.

His initial tweet mentioned the Triller Fight Club, which is the promotion that brought Mike Tyson back from retirement and hosted the Ben Askren vs Jake Paul boxing match recently.

Hyping him up was Sasha Banks, one of Kalisto’s old friends from their time together in NXT. And now, we have a little update on the situation.

In the video posted by the luchador this time around, we can finally see his face, albeit behind a mask, and his lightning-fast punches.

He also looks really shredded as well. The ‘GLOAT’ is seen wearing his mask which could be an indication that he will box with the mask on.

Sasha Banks has new nickname for Kalisto as he gears up for his boxing debut

Sasha Banks then quoted the video with a nickname of her own for Kalisto, whose real name is Emanuel Alejandro Rodriguez.

Well, as creative as it is from ‘The Boss’, it is likely that Kalisto will fight under his old name, Samuray del Sol, considering the Kalisto trademark lies with WWE.

His opponent is not known yet but we can expect to have news on that sooner rather than later. Professional boxers like Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson have appeared on WWE.

But it is a rarity seeing it the other way around. Kalisto made his name on WWE as a tag team partner to Sin Cara, and then as a member of the Lucha House Party.

It is good to see him find a new career for himself but fans would undoubtedly want to see his high-flying moves in pro wrestling again in the future, whether it is at WWE or elsewhere.
