WWE Superstar Sasha Banks nominated for Emmy after performance in The Mandalorian

Sasha Banks has been nominated at the Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series for her role in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.

The description for her nomination says:

 “Mercedes Varnado returns as Mandalorian Koska Reeves on a mission with Bo-Katan to rescue the Mandalorian’s companion Grogu.”

The Koska Reeves character is a Mandalorian who is part of The Nite Owls. The show received 15 nomination across various categories in the opening season.

The 73rd Emmy Awards will take place on September 19, 2021. The former WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion joked on Twitter waiting to show Vince McMahon the award.

Banks makes two appearances in the show including a fight against Boba Fett. Disney added her name in the “for your consideration” list.

Banks’ real name is Mercedes Varnado, makes appearances along with other guest actors who appeared throughout season 2. Iconic Star Wars actor Carl Weathers, Bill Burr, Rosario Dawson and Mark Hamill have also been nominated in a category.

When will Banks return to the ring?

Banks has been missing for the last few weeks on WWE television. She lost her WWE SmackDown Women’s title at WrestleMania 37 to Bianca Belair. The Boss is now touted to return with the fans, as WWE begins a 25-city touring from July 16.

Banks has been one of the biggest stars in the women’s division. She has been instrumental in lighting up the women’s revolution along with Charlotte Flair. The SmackDown currently boasts few of the best wrestlers in the world.

The Boss will be hoping to return soon before the arrival of Summerslam in August. The event is set to welcome back a packed capacity crowd at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
