Roman Reigns names Francis Ngannou among UFC stars he enjoys watching

Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has revealed the names of the UFC stars that he enjoys watching.

Reigns, during the interview, opened up on how he has grown from a casual UFC fan to an ardent follower during the lockdown period.

“The Head of the Table” was then asked if he had latched on to any particular UFC star that he liked to watch. The WWE Universal champion was full of praise for the work that the UFC athletes put in. He insisted that he had great respect for each one of them.

Reigns insisted that he often gets drawn into watching three wrestlers including the new UFC Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, Francis Ngannou.

“I think I gravitate towards you know, the showmen, you know who they are. Ngannou, he’s one of those rare athletes where he can be just quiet. He has that ability that Mike Tyson, that IT factor where it’s like he might kill somebody if he lands a punch.”

Reigns went on to add how Ngannou had the ability to end a fight in a flash and that he likes to see definitive endings and finishes. The WWE Superstar then went on to name “Sugar” Sean O’Malley, claiming that the 26-year-old has something different about him.

“He’s got like a different type of swag, I enjoy his charisma.”

Lastly, Reigns went on to name Jorge Masvidal as another UFC star he loved to watch in action.

“I’m a big fan of his. You can see the ones who are influenced by these professional wrestling. They understand the art of the promo, ‘let me catch their attention real quick and sell them into this fight’. And he’s one of those guys.”

Reigns has been slaying in on WWE since turning heel last year. The WWE Universal Champion has had some belters against the likes of Jey Uso, Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan of late.

And in less than two weeks, he will defend his championship in a triple-threat match against Bryan and WWE Royal Rumble 2021 winner Edge at WrestleMania 37.
