Reigns defeated former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat at Payback 2020 to win the title for the second time in his career. His reign is the second largest as of now. He made a record of not losing a single match at a pay-per-view last year.

“.@WWERomanReigns has now officially hit 500 days as @WWE Universal Champion. He becomes the longest reigning Universal Champion ever in 4 more days.”

The Tribal Chief also holds the second position in total combined days as Universal Champion at more than 560 days, again second only to The Beast Incarnate’s 686-day record.

Roman Reigns has broken many records as a Universal Champion

During his latest Championship reign, he defeated some of the promotion’s big names like Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Edge, Rey Mysterio etc… Also, he broke the record of a 698-day undefeated run in singles competition.

This run was broken when he faced King Woods which ended via no-contest due to The Usos.

Recently he received a challenge from the current IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Moose, who wants to meet him through “The Forbidden Door talk.”

I Claim to be the Wrestling God. He claims to be The Head of the Table. With all this Forbidden Door talk….. what if….,, @WWERomanReigns

It seems like Reigns will go all the way to continue his reign as a champion, and WrestleMania 38 might see the champion vs champion match between Lesnar and Reigns. However, we will have to wait and watch what happens.
