WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair heaps praise about the underrated star as they showed courage against Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was grabbed by Joe

The Nature Boy mentioned that he liked Samoa and said that “when he grabbed Lesnar”, it was imposing. Flair claimed that all those Samoan wrestlers are pretty challenging.

“I like Joe a lot. I got a lot of time for him. I think he’s good on the mic. He’s one of the few guys that, when he grabbed Lesnar, it was believable. Going back to what I said last week, those Samoan kids are not only tough, they can all work – and they’re tough kids.”

Flair even joked about the fact that he didn’t wrestle Joe as he wouldn’t be able to handle such a big guy like Joe. Brock and Samoa had a long, intense feud that included Roman Reigns a few times.

Samoa Joe has been away from WWE for a long time now

Since his NXT Championship match against Karrion Kross, Joe hasn’t been on WWE back in September. Joe even defeated Kross to win the title.

But he suffered a severe injury which led to him relinquishing the title. Later, it was revealed that he was not medically cleared to perform, which led to stripping him of the title.

Samoa took to Twitter and mentioned relinquishing the title with a video message for all the fans.

According to Wrestling Observer Live (h/t Ringside News), Bryan Alvarez said that there is a firm belief that no injury has happened to Joe, and he might not be available to wrestle, and this whole thing is to take him off the title.
