Drew McIntyre gave it his all at Hell in a Cell and showed off some brutal injury marks as well

Hell in a Cell had a huge main event with Bobby Lashley defending his title against Drew McIntyre.

This battle had been brewing since WrestleMania 37 where McIntyre was unable to beat The All Mighty.

However, Hell in a Cell had another stipulation. McIntyre would not be able to challenge Lashley for the gold if he lost.

McIntyre gave it his all in the brutal affair but came up short thanks to some shenanigans from MVP. The Scottish Psychopath also suffered some horrible looking injuries to his back during the Hell in a Cell encounter.

McIntyre showed off his marks on social media and also had some words for his supporters:

“It’s been a wild ride. I’ve always wanted to make all of you proud, and I hoped that you would get the chance to see me live and in person as WWE Champion. Looks like that dream is on hold for awhile. Thanks for all your support.”

McIntyre’s back certainly took some punishment from Lashley. However, The Scot would have been feeling a lot worse due to the ramifications of his loss.

Where does Drew McIntyre head off now?

This was McIntyre’s third chance to win the gold off Lashley but this failure will hurt him a lot. It will be interesting to see what is next for McIntyre but he might take some time off given how much he worked during the pandemic era of WWE.

Lashley also took a shot at McIntyre by posting a meme where the crying face of Michael Jordan was put on the Scot’s body.

McIntyre could come back reinvigorated after a break. However, he still would not be able to challenge Lashley for the gold.

The title would have to change hands for McIntyre to be involved, and Raw now has to find a new challenger for the All Mighty.
