Drew McIntyre makes his remark on the infamous WWE storyline

McIntyre took to Twitter and replied to WWE’s post of bringing back the Anonymous General Manager, to which he replied that “it was a bloody joke”, and he won’t be encouraging such nonsense.

“That was a bloody joke, don’t be encouraging such nonsense. Absolutely nobody wants the anonymous GM back!”

WWE Hall of Famer Edge had the opportunity to interview the Anonymous Raw General Manager on an episode of The Cutting Edge. As we all know, the segment ended with Edge completely obliterating the laptop to the bemusement of all watching on.

The Anonymous General Manager was unveiled during the 2010s of WWE era

This General Manager storyline was unveiled by WWE Chairmen Vince McMahon in June 2010 on RAW after he relieved Bret Hart off his duties in this role. The mysterious figure used to send emails to convey his instructions often read out by Michael Cole, giving rise to Cole’s “And I quote” catchphrase.

This storyline was thrown out in 2011 when Triple H and John Laurinaitis came to prominence with their respective power over WWE. However, ahead of the Raw 1000 show in 2012, it was revealed that Hornswoggle was the man behind the laptop. It would be interesting to see whether WWE actually brings this storyline of anonymous general manager.
