WWE RAW’s lumberjack match between Damien Priest and John Morrison featured one special guest

This week’s WWE RAW saw a repeat of a lumberjack match. The only difference was, there were no zombies.

‘Army of the Dead’, a zombie apocalypse movie featuring WWE legend Batista, were sponsors of Backlash last weekend and the lumberjacks in the match were all…. zombies.

It made for a pretty fun viewing as Miz (w/ John Morrison) took on Damian Priest. The latter hit The Miz with his finisher, ‘Hit the Lights’, to conclude the match.

And this week’s rematch (of sorts) saw Morrison take on Priest in memory of The Miz, who he said would ‘never be the same again’.

This time, the lumberjacks were all human beings. However, there was one peculiar addition, Nikki Cross, who made her return on RAW.

Nikki Cross calls herself ‘Lumber Jill’ after role in WWE RAW lumberjack match

Cross made her first appearance on the Red brand since February 1st where she was involved with her old friend, Alexa Bliss.

This time around, Cross found herself as the only female ‘lumberjack’. She even found a way to get involved in the match.

Just as Morrison tried to escape the ring, Cross threw him back inside it and followed it up with a pretty overzealous celebration. Priest went on to win and declared that this was the end of the rivalry for him.

And after the match, she even shared a name for himself as he said was a ‘Lumber Jill’ during the match- feminizing the word ‘Jack’ in lumberjack.

It seems that WWE could have something up their sleeves with Nikki. ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt is on a hiatus while Randy Orton continues to wreak havoc with Matt Riddle.

In light of this, Cross could enter into a storyline again with Bliss, whose character seems to be losing relevance by the week.
