Montez Ford is an exciting young prospect on the wrestling landscape with tremendous athleticism and vigour.
Ford idolizes The Rock and recently in an interview with Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Ford mentioned the legend’s influence in his journey to become a WWE superstar.
“He’s such an inspiration to myself, my family; getting us through some hard and rough times going through personally,” Ford said. “That’s why I hold The Rock true and dear to my heart in a lot of ways.”
Ford has already won the Raw, SmackDown and NXT tag team championship in his career alongside Angelo Dawkins, till now.
Ford had previously mentioned The Attitude Era being a strong reason behind him becoming a wrestling fan. The Rock was arguably the biggest name in the roster during those days, and there’s no surprise to the fact that Ford idolised “The Brahma Bull” since then.
The “People’s Champ” saw the video and posted a heart-warming message for Ford on his Instagram.
The Rock might have been missing from or a while now but his love for the business is second to none. When the words of gratitude from a long-time fan caught his attention, he couldn’t help but acknowledge.
The Rock has always brought smiles on the faces of his fans, be it inside the squared-circle, or in the theatres. This time he gave an ardent fan in Montez Ford, a message that will motivate him to achieve greater heights in the future.
