We have already seen a commercial of Cody Rhodes promoting the Premium Live Event which is due in a couple of months. However, the latest reports suggest that the location of the pay-per-view might be altered, mainly owing to poor ticket sales.

WWE might be planning about moving Money in the Bank to a much smaller venue. According to Brad Shepard, WWE will be moving Money in the Bank to the MGM Arena. Shepard mentioned that the reason for the change is the low response as far as ticket sales are concerned. The MGM Arena last hosted a wrestling event back in 2019. It was the AEW’s Double or Nothing event.

The 30-year-old stadium was set to host the Double or Nothing event in 2020 as well and also the May 27 episode of AEW Dynamite in the same year, but it was moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

MGM Arena has a seating capacity of 16,800 while the Allegiant Stadium could host over 60,000 fans. The difference is quite big.

Shephard tweeted:

“On May 19th, I broke the news on the Brad Shepard UNLEASHED Patreon that #WWE was considering moving to a different venue for Money In The Bank due to poor ticket sales. I have now confirmed they have officially decided to change the venue to MGM and it will be announced soon.”

Allegiant Stadium recently tweeted that they are hosting Money in the Bank

Fans have pointed out that the official Twitter handle of Allegiant Stadium just tweeted on May 25 that they will be hosting the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Brad Shephard’s tweet regarding the change in venue came earlier today. Fans are finding it hard to fathom how things could change so drastically in a few hours.

Shephard has mentioned that the change in venue will be announced soon. So we will have to hold our horses till any official confirmation comes from WWE or the Allegiant Stadium higher-ups.
