Mickie James will soon be speaking about her recent WWE release, as the promotion decided to cut-off 10 superstars.
James was one among the unfortunate WWE stars to be released by the WWE earlier this week, despite the promotion having a largely successful Wrestlemania 37. She was joined by other notable stars like Samoa Joe, Peyton Royce, Mojo Rawley and many others.
WWE’s statement read :
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Mojo Rawley, Bo Dallas, and Wesley Blake as of today April 15, 2021. We wish them the best in all of their future endeavors.”
James, who has wrestled for a lot of promotions made her mark in the WWE, as well. Having made her debut in 2005, she was part of the promotion until 2010, before making her move to the Independent Circuit and TNA.
She then returned to the WWE in 2016, and been a mainstay until her release a few days ago. After being released, James thanked the people for all the love and support they have shown her. She tweeted:
And, more recently James has decided to address her release and hence revealed that when she will be speaking about her release. In a tweet posted today, James divulged that she would address everything this week on GAW TV, which his her own podcast.
She also requested fans to submit their questions, so that she could answer them on Wednesday.
James’ tweet read:
“I have been inundated with media request & I’m just not there yet. I will address everything exclusively on @thegawtv this week. If you have questions please submit them there & I will try to answer. Thank you all! Love you. See you on Wednesday!”
Mark Henry unhappy with Mickie James’ release
Quite a lot of people were left fuming with the recent untimely release of the 10 WWE stars, especially with those like Samoa Joe and Mickie James, since they brought a legion of experience to the table.
James has been in the Wrestling business since the 90s and it certainly was harsh on the promotion’s part to send her off out of nowhere. And, former WWE star and current backstage producer for the WWE, Mark Henry reiterated the same.
The World’s Strongest Man speaking in a recent episode of Busted Open Podcast, claimed that the WWE should have at least made James a special assistant to the development of women’s wrestling, rather than just sending her off.
He said:
“I would have not future endeavoured Mickie James. I would have made Mickie James a special assistant to the development of women’s wrestling.”
