Chelsea Green split up with Robert Stone on this week’s NXT
Chelsea Green had her biggest moment on NXT as the Robert Stone product joined forces with Charlotte Flair.
The NXT Champion needed a partner in her tag match against Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley. Green stepped up to the plate and took a big hit as Charlotte was able to pick up the win.
The NXT star celebrated with the champion and thanked Stone for taking her this far. However, Green shocked the NXT world by sacking Stone right after the show.
Stone was left confused and chased after Green, but it seems she is done with the manager.
Green’s fiancé Matt Cardona, AKA Zack Ryder, was recently released by WWE. The Broski has featured on several podcasts speaking about his exit and took a shot at Stone.
“Rob stop copying me. First you stole my gimmick, then you managed my fiancée, and now you’ve gotten fired too?! Let me have something!”
Stone copies two people?
Stone had a different persona and was known as Robbie E on TNA/Impact. Although it was claimed he was a character from Jersey Shore, Cardona had created the Broski character before E and was successful in WWE.
Stone’s current character also is a little different from his normal take. There were rumours of this being a shot at AEW Executive Tony Khan, but there never has been confirmed reports regarding this.
It will be interesting to see how Stone deals with this loss. Green’s stock will be rising further in the coming weeks, and she could become one of the big names on NXT.
Stone, for his part, used to wrestle a lot before coming on NXT, and he is a good worker in the ring.
It will also be interesting to see what happens with Cardona. There will be promotions keen on signing him and hopefully, he gets back to action soon.
